I was born and raised in the Tri-City area and have lived here most of my life. I was raised in a Christian home. My parents were saved when I was in 4th grade. I, myself, was not saved until I was 27 on Easter morning of 1983. I was called to preach God’s Word one year later on Easter morning 1984.
My wife Becky and I were married in September of 1987. We have one daughter, age 19, and one son, age 17.
I have been a pastor for 30 years serving in three churches as Senior Pastor. Those three churches are First Baptist, Benton City, from 1987 to 1999; Reata Springs Baptist, South Richland, from 1999 to 2007; and Mountain View Fellowship, Zillah, from 2007 to 2016.
Now, I have the wonderful privilege and honor to serve as Pastor serving the fine people here here at Hillview Baptist.
Pastor Ronnie Smith retired January 1, 2017. He served as Pastor here at Hillview for 23 years. He spent over 40 years in full time ministry. We are thrilled that Ronnie and Sharon Stricklan will remain part of our church family.
